On the business side, I:

• Create value via software - APIs, eCommerce, ETLs, SaaS, automation, etc
• Codify, improve, and scale infrastructure
• Automate and accelerate the SDLC with CI/CD pipelines & ChatOps
• Minimize costs via simple architecture and appropriate technology choices
• Work with stakeholders to create MVPs for new projects
• Create guard rails so developers can focus on writing software
• Help others understand how SRE principals can improve their software

On the tech side, I:

• Build, maintain, and support services in Ruby, Python, and PHP
• Architect reliable systems using cloud provider primitives
• Have 8+ years using AWS over many services - VPC, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, etc
• Migrate legacy services to containers (and improve local development)
• Save money running containers on mixed On-demand & Spot instances
• Instrument systems for easier debugging - exceptions, errors, latency, logs, etc
• Integrate systems for ease of use:
  • 'One command' Docker-based local development environments
  • Deliver CI/CD info, approvals and deploy data to appropriate communication channels
  • Create integrations to query service info, trigger deployments, etc
